Gedatsu is an adaptation of Shugendou to modern life. With the expression of gratitude as a key practice, Gedatsu's aim is true peace of mind and spiritual enlightenment. Gedatsu is open to all people, including those from other religious faiths. In the USA, we have branches in Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Honolulu. The website for Gedatsukai, Japan may be found here.
For a detailed description of the practice of Gedatsu, please see our Introduction to Gedatsu. On this website, you will also find information about our branches and regular services, our festivals and events, and our contact information. You can also browse the archives of our monthly newsletter, the Gedatsu Companion, as well as some of the writings of our Senseis on the Newsletters and Reading Material page.
